I had the great opportunity to visit London for the first time last week. In addition to attending a conference and meeting a lot of great new friends, I took a little time to sightsee as well. Not one to be afraid of wandering about, I grabbed a map and set out. Across the street from my hotel was a lovely park and cutting through there led me directly to Buckingham Palace. Just down the road from there I found Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye and more. Such a fascinating city and such beautiful architecture! Tragically, I was only there for 4 days, so didn’t get in much more sightseeing. But I did manage to visit Harrods the day before I left and, wow, the selection in the food area! And I can’t forget to mention the delicious curry I ate while I was there, for more than one meal! Overall it was a great visit and I hope to be able to get back again in the future, next time when I have the ability to spend more time exploring that wonderful city.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?

Ahh, London is my favorite city. In July of 2001, I was there for business AND my brother was also there for business at the same time. I also went in 2004 and 2005, but the one with my brother was the BEST trip! It was so neat getting to hang out with him in the evenings.
I am glad you had a good time and thanks for posting and letting me relive a few memories this morning!
