I’m not sure what it is (and I’m knocking on wood as I write this), but both my children have been easygoing so far when it comes to transitions.  Moving from breast to bottle to sippy cup to cup was a breeze, transitioning to one nap from two also happened easily.  So I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to potty training but, again, I’ve been pleasantly surprised.  One of the many great things about the day care center my kids attend is that once they move into the 2 1/2 year old room, they have to try using the potty each time their diaper is changed. Couple that with a somewhat serious effort at home (and don’t forget about the bribes with candy I blogged about earlier!) and, voila, my older one is pretty much trained.  Yes, there are accidents once in a while and he still wears a diaper during nap time and overnight but for the most part we’re done with diapers.  And with how expensive they are, this is what I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving!
