I took my younger son for his first haircut this past Saturday. He’s 15 months old but has very thin, very fine, very blond and curly hair. So while it was pretty long it didn’t seem that long because it’s so curly. So off we went to Snip-Its, a salon for kids. Connor is very laid back and easy going so I figured the first haircut wouldn’t be very traumatic for him, especially at a place like this. Once he was situated in the chair, the stylist offered him some animal crackers, started the cartoon on the tv and she began cutting. He pretty much didn’t even notice his hair was being cut! I collected some of his curls that had been cut off and we went to the register to pay. Because I had indicated earlier that a friend had told me about the place, they gave me $3 off the price of the haircut which was great. Usually places reward the person who made the referral, not the person who was referred so this was a nice surprise. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely take him back there again. But Joshua? Not so much. He LOVES getting his hair cut at Sport Clips because he gets to watch sports the entire time. Yes, he’s only 2 1/2 but he’s obviously all boy.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?
