It’s Monday night which means Monday Night Football, and tonight’s game is especially interesting for those of us here in Wisconsin. Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or aren’t a football fan) it’s the first meeting this season of the Packers and Vikings. It’s always a heated rivalry but this week even moreso as Brett Favre is the Vikings quarterback this year. As I’ve been watching the game, and listening to my husband yell at the tv, I’ve also been checking out Facebook. It’s funny to see how many of my friends are posting live during the game which makes me think back to just a few years ago before Facebook was so prevalent. What did we do back then? Call each other on the phone, or simply wait till the next day to discuss the big plays? And how many people who are out at bars or friends’ houses tonight are updating Facebook via their mobile device? Is Facebook making us even more diehard fans or simply enabling us to share our thoughts real time with our friends? What’s your take?
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?
