Picking up my two sons at day care is always an adventure. Take today, for example. I went to my older son’s room first and found him playing with his friends. The odd thing? He was wearing a pink shirt “bedazzled” with a tiara on the front. And jeans which were not his. Found out that he made a mess of the outfit he had on when he arrived and since there were no extra clothes in his cubby, they had to scrounge for any available clothes. Hence the pink t-shirt. My husband was NOT amused.
Monday provided to be another adventure, this one because of a swear word that my older son said repeatedly while “playing” with the plunger in the bathroom. When questioned by his teacher about where he might have heard this word, his response was “daddy says it”. So then my husband was reprimanded when he picked up the boys that night. LOL!
And then there are other days when I’m truly amazed at what my kids are learning at day care. Whether it’s the names of different types of trees or simply lyrics to ’80s songs, it’s always amusing to hear what they’ve learned that day.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?
