The company I work for truly understands the power of social media.  Our CEO leads by example and social media is becoming an ingrained part of our culture.  Our first success story was being notified by a client via Facebook that we had been awarded the contract.  Huge success!  The second success story was one I heard today.

Our business development team has really taken to social media and is anxious to always learn more.  Several of them blog, they faithfully use LinkedIn, etc. Well today one of them relayed this most recent story.  He uses TweetGrid to monitor certain terms and phrases related to the industry we’re in and two months ago saw a Tweet from someone looking for the names of consultants who provide the services we do.  Our sales rep reached out to the person via Twitter, was given his email address and sent some initial information via email.  Well last week the sales rep received an RFI (request for information) from the Twitter source, the step before the RFP is written.  So here we now have an opportunity to possibly propose on new work, all thanks to a Twitter lead.  Stay tuned for the update!
