Tonight was my very first time dining at Red Robin and I have to say, with two small young children, this is a great place to take the family! I’ve seen the commercials on TV for their burgers and I figured it was kind of like “Steak and Shake” which, in all honesty, doesn’t impress me. But my husband said it was rated family-friendly and we needed to get out of the house for a bit so we gave it a shot.
Upon entering, my 2 1/2 year old got incredibly excited because football was on the numerous TVs (he LOVES sports). Plus it was loud, there were balloons and he saw a huge red bird (yes the Red Robin) on a pedestal. We’re off to a great start! The hostess takes us to our booth and a waitress promptly arrives to take our drink order. We’re still getting situated when yet another waitress shows up with — this is so great — a basket of fries! I swear, my children have never been better behaved during a dinner out than tonight. My 14-month-old was completely satisfied chomping on fries until our dinner arrived. My 2 1/2 year old tired of the fries quickly but thankfully he had crayons and the menu to color on.
The highlight came when the boys got a balloon. There were no meltdowns, no screaming and crying and, amazingly, my 14-month-old only dropped 2 small pieces of chicken and a quarter of a french fry on the floor! Overall, it was a highly successful experience and we will DEFINITELY return to Red Robin again. They certainly know what it takes to keep the youngest customers happy.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?

Oooh Red Robin used to be on my regular lunch rotation. I’m a fan of the Blue Ribbon Burger and even during Lent, I found the Boca Patty Blue Ribbon Burger to be freaking delicious as well. And the year I gave up cheese– Blue Ribbon Burger without the bleu cheese was yummy too. (I think it is the onion straws I really love)
If you hadn’t done so already, look into to the eClub (http://www.redrobin.com/eclub/)! A couple of weeks before your birthday, they’ll send you a coupon for a free burger.
There are no Red Robins where I live now. So this year, one of my old co-workers got to have my free burger.

Texas Roadhouse is also family friendly…it’s nice and loud, everyone throws peanut shells on the floor so it’s not like a few kiddo food items are going to make a difference plus they give the kids dough (from their rolls) to play with. Plus restaurant.com usually has cheapo gift certificates for the one in New Bizzle.
