I took my car in to Firestone, which is right across the street from where I work, last Thursday for an oil change. They had it done in no time and when I picked it up at lunch I asked about making an appointment for an oil change for Andrew’s car for the next day. “No appointment necessary, just drop it off whenever it’s convenient for you,” said the service guy. The next day I dropped Andrew’s car off for an oil change and to have some issues looked at. All was fixed at the end of the day without a problem (unfortunately for several hundred dollars later). Back to my car — I forgot to ask about the left blinker which stopped working (burned out or something) several weeks back. Asked about it when I picked up Andrew’s car on Friday. Again, the same service guy told me, “Just drop it off Monday morning and we’ll check it out.” I dropped it off this morning and not even 20 minutes later they called to tell me it was simply a burned out bulb ($11) and I could pick up the car at any time.
The benefits here? One, they have been completely accommodating for me. Got our cars in without needing appointments (even when work that took longer than just an oil change had to be done), they offered me a discount on the oil changes and they were very speedy with their work. Plus the fact that they are located right across the street from where I work makes it completely convenient. I’ve had too many issues in the past with trying to find a ride to work or being stuck at work all day without a car because I can’t get a ride back until the end of the day, etc. I’ll say one thing, I’m now a huge fan of Firestone and will definitely recommend them to others. Guess that makes me a raving fan.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?
