About a week ago I started following a musician on Twitter who’s pretty well known. I tend not to follow celebrities as I view Twitter as more of a resource-sharing tool and, thus, am looking for interesting tweets from others who point out great articles or other helpful information. In this case, however, I decided to follow Rob and have found him to be really intelligent and insightful. What I learned today from him is that he penned an article that appeared in the Huffington Post about gay marriage. I was impressed with how well-written it was. I also learned that today is his wife’s birthday. In a series of tweets he listed “the things that rock about mari” because it’s her birthday. Does that provide any educational content to me? No, but what I found endearing is that he used Twitter to tell everyone (publicly) why his wife is so amazing. In my mind, that’s what rocks, and that’s why I follow him.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?
