I am not like my mother when it comes to housekeeping. She (and one of my aunts for that matter) are kind of obsessive when it comes to cleaning. My mom works 2 days a week and spends the other 3 weekdays cleaning…..and seems happy to do so. I, on the other hand, can barely get the dishes in the dishwasher daily, don’t make the bed each morning and my house is strewn with toys. When you have 2 young children and a full-time job, that will happen. I remember working with a woman years ago who also had 2 small boys and she made a comment about not sending out Christmas cards because she didn’t have the time to do so. I recall thinking “yeah, right, how busy can you really be?” Well now I understand fully. Could my house be cleaner? Sure. But I would much rather spend my nights and weekends playing with my kids, blogging, working out and other fun stuff. Sometimes I stress about it but then my husband jumps in (which he’s done more often lately) and helps with the chores. So at the end of the day, cleaning is last on the priority list. And I’m trying to come to terms with not having a spotless house everyday. Sorry, mom!
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?

I totally agree, Michelle! At the end of your life no one will remember if your house was clean or not. I used to stress about all that too… don’t anymore. And I have a lady that cleans once a month… a treat to myself and she is so reasonable. Only$60. So worth it!
So, sorry Auntie Gail, Karen and Kathleen.
