I’ve been following this story and what’s more interesting to me than Ashton beating CNN as the first to have 1,000,000 followers on Twitter is the fact that Oprah Winfrey was not on Twitter until yesterday. Really? No one on her staff had suggested she tweet? And no one on her staff was tweeting on her behalf? So once she established an account, her first tweet didn’t show up because she “hit the wrong key”. How is that possible? And even funnier, her next tweet (which did post) is done in all caps. Stop shouting at us, Oprah! Someone please help her! So now the question is, how many new people will join Twitter now that Oprah’s on board. As with my mom finding out about Facebook thanks to Oprah, I’m sure she’ll talk to me about Twitter.
The Daily Krier is running commentary on what's happening in my life on a regular basis. I write about things that interest me -- my family, my hobbies, my career in marketing. The blog was born from my interest in writing, my need to become more involved in all things related to social media, and my desire to start on my personal brand. The blog title is a play on my last name. It's technically pronounced "kreer" but everyone pronounces it as "cry-er". The mis-pronounciation lends itself extremely well to the title, don't you think?
